You were created to be creative.

Updated: Oct 25, 2019

Since we are created in the image of God, Genesis 1:27, who is the Master Creator, then we have been given his ability, desire, yearning, satisfaction to create.

Deep inside your soul is a desire that says, "I need to be creative." It may not come out in some form of art, music, poetry or some other way we automatically associate with being creative, but it may express itself through other forms such as building a model airplane, landscaping the yard, engineering a building, doodling on a piece of paper during a lecture, or even putting together financial charts for a report. Yes, even that.

"Well, I am more left-brained than right-brained," some people will say. Or others will say, "I wasn't born with any talent to…" fill in the blank. Even if you lean more towards being left-brained, which is more thinking in words rather than in feelings visualizations, there is still a desire to be creative.

Recently, I met a young man who was an accountant and a very left-brained individual. He told me that his form of creative outlet was to design and build very intricate replicas of Faberge Eggs. This form of creativity met his inner yearning to be creative.

You are a creative person. You have desires to be creative. Don't fight them any longer. Find a way to open the door to your creativity and allow it to run wild.
